Long Distance Rates Differ Depending On Phone Numbers
IBNtel utilizes a Tier based long distance
rate structure. Our lowest available rate is 1.7 ¢/min.
We refer to this rate as a Tier 1 long distance rate. This
rate is not available everywhere but fortunately, the Tier
1 rate is the one that covers the greatest area and the
largest number of phones. Currently, about 65% of the phones
in the US are covered by our Tier 1 rate. The long distance
rate for the next tier is 2.9 ¢/min and this covers about
10% of the phones in the US.
IBNtel has 6 long distance rate tiers altogether. Tier
5 is usually used for customers who register their cell
phones to for the dial around service. Our lowest long distance
rates cover about 75% of the phones in the continental US.
Most other carriers that offer very low rates will only
offer these rates to a small percentage of phones in the
US. IBNtel is able to offer our low long distance rates
to a much larger percentage of the population than other
competitors.
