How Does Monthly Billing Work On The Phone Cards?
IBNTel does not offer monthly billing on the prepaid cards,
only on postpaid phone cards. The prepaid phone cards must
be paid before you are allowed to make any phone calls on
your account. Though a postpaid phone card has the same
rate per call, it does allow the option of monthly billing.
IBNTel sends a bill once a month for any calls you made
during the billing cycle. In the event that you have used
less than $20 during that cycle, an additional fee of $1.95
will be applied for those billing cycles. Like the prepaid
card, the postpaid card can be used from any phone in the
United States or Canada. Though it can be used to call many
foreign countries, it cannot be used in those countries.
One major advantage of the postpaid calling card is that
because of the monthly billing, it allows a business traveler
to use it to make calls that his employer will be paying.
It helps both the employee and employer keep records straight
and keeps a clean audit trail of calls that are eligible
for reimbursement. It prevents the employee from having
to sort through his telephone bill to pinpoint business
calls. Since a prepaid phone card does not have monthly
billing, it would be quite difficult to identify business
related telephone expense.

The postpaid phone card is also good for those times when
you cannot use dial around service. Certainly, it is about
one cent more per minute to use a phone card as opposed
to dial around service, but in relation to using the phone
at the hotel or third party billing, it is quite inexpensive.
It allows you to make phone calls as you find necessary
without having to concern yourself with whether you have
enough minutes left on your prepaid calling card. It allows
you the convenience of monthly billing without having to
pay the higher third party billing costs when you go on
vacation or a business trip.
